A romantic cruise between the Venetian Villas of the Brenta Riviera
Every year, from March to October, a romantic mini-cruise, between the Venetian Villas of the Brenta Riviera, from Padua (Zona Portello) to Venice and vice versa, between art and history, along the path of the ancient Venetian burchiello of the eighteenth century.
The Burchiello was a typical Venetian boat for passenger transport, equipped with a large wooden cabin, with three or four balconies, finely crafted and decorated. The Burchiello was used by the most wealthy Venetian classes to reach their villas in the countryside from the city.
As in the past, even today the Burchiello, as a tourist service line, traces the Riviera del Brenta from Padua to Venice and vice versa; heir of the ancient traditions, he plows the waters of the Brenta with slow pace, while the guides on board illustrate the history, culture and art witnessed by the Ville del Brenta.
The programs include navigation from Padua to Venice (Padua, Stra, Dolo, Mira, Oriago, Malcontenta, Fusina, Venice) or from Venice to Padua (Venice, Fusina, Malcontenta, Oriago, Mira, Dolo, Stra, Padua) and guided internal visit of some Venetian Villas, famous summer residences of the 18th century Venetian nobles, rich in frescoes.
